In delicious contrast to the en suite rooms, there is also a light and spacious family bathroom, featuring a cast iron roll top bath, traditional fittings and cool limestone and glass décor. The perfect place for relaxing, here you can enjoy a glass of wine and look across the vines whilst you soak off the day’s travails visiting vineyards and sightseeing.
The laundry room downstairs contains a Miele washing machine, sink, washing line, ironing board and iron. There is also some secure storage space available (for any purchases you may be tempted to make…!). Both on and off street parking is available.
Guests may take advantage of the secluded garden and patio to enjoy watching the incredible variety of birds and insects (blackbirds, swallows, owls, finches, sparrowhawks and even once a pheasant!). Whatever the time of day, there will be a spot for the sun lover and another for those who want to stay cool and shady.
For the garden we have two large bistro style tables each of which can seat six for an apero. We have a charcoal barbecue and eight comfy reclining chairs which you can use wherever you please. There is also garden lighting for those warm evenings.
For the more sociable times of day, the enormous roof terrace is ideal for watching the world go by, surveying the surroundings and perhaps taking lunch or an aperitif outside. The large terrace table seats 10 well for a meal and has three sunshades (two moveable).
We have a large, modern sun shade which is currently set up in the garden and which can be lowered and raised very easily.
The vineyard behind the house is a working one which means that you may catch glimpses of the seasonal activity close on as M Bzikot and his colleagues tend the vines. But it also means that you must treat the area with due care.
