The washing machine (and iron and ironing board) is tucked away in the chaufferie at 10pm. This is one of big rooms downstairs where the bikes, boules, kids’ toys, spare tables chairs etc etc are stored.

For those of you with rusty French – here is a bit of a quick guide to the settings. We haven’t translated anything too guessable (express = quick wash, synthetiques = synthetics etc). If you still need help, do let us know and a) we will help you and b) we will update this picture to be more helpful.

 

 

In the chaufferie we also have the boilers so it keeps pretty warm. In here you will find some washing lines and pegs. We have tried not to go for a dryer for ecological reasons but, as we receive more out of season guests for longer periods, we may have to review this.

In the garden you will find a collapsible rotary clothes dryer so it is out of the way when you don’t want it but available when you do.
