Burgundy tends to have proper seasons (unlike most of the UK). The summers are generally hot and the winters cold and icy. This is what gives the vines (and therefore the grapes) their character – the struggle that they endure in the varying climate.

The mild season tends to range from April to September, but of course, Mother Nature will not be told, so things can vary at times.
